Temp Sensor Plans

This circuit is a little harder to build. The best part about it is that it requires no external power supply, as it is fed off the link port.

First off you will need the chip. It's a LM75CIM-5 from National Semiconductor. You will also need some diodes. I prefer to use the little orange IN914/4148 (RS P# 276-1620) mainly becaue they are cheap and get the job done. You will also need a capacitor. The orignal author says that he has tried .1µF, 10µF and a 100µF and they all worked. Last, but not least, you will need the software. click here to get it.

As the chip is surface mount, the orignal author recomends that you etch a PCB for easiest construction. The drawing above is hopefuly self-explanitory. If you have any questions about construction, just contact me at jrapp@geocities.com
